A little blue dandy

I made this card a few days back using a Close To My Heart set called Treasures. I used ink and paper colors in Lilac Mist and chocolate. The little buckle is from CTMH too. I just love the saying "The winds of change bring treasures unknown. . . embrace change. "
Hope everyone is having a great day.

There She Goes TSG28 challenge Fun with Chipboard

This week on There She Goes blog, the challenge was Fun with Chipboard, so I went into my drawer of goodies and found this piece of chipboard in a buckle shape. I embossed it with black embossing powder and luckily my friend Stamp Katie had some white ribbon to match for the front of my card. I used the Santa penguin from There She Goes' newly released set called Penguin Love. This is an awesome set, there are 55 different stamps in this set and I only used 6!!
I used CTMH cranberry, crystal blue and olive papers and inks along with my swiss dot folder with my cuttlebug.
Hope you enjoy it!

Toot toot and Charlie and lets mow some lawns!!!

Here is Charlie, again. I really like this set, Charlie Harvest Time, obviously!! LOL And then the second card is the Christmas Card for our customers - We have a small Lawn Care business and when Clear Dollar Stamps came out with their Yard Yabber set, I jumped for joy. I added the Holiday Wreath stamp and used a new set of Holiday paper from CTMH for this card. Luckily, I only have about 34 of these to make!!
Also, today I am honored and humbled to be Clear Dollar Stamps Featured Friend on their blog, Clearly I Stamp. So, if you haven't gone to Clear Dollar and checked them out, please do!! They are a great group, very talented and awesome stamps!!

Autumn and Thanksgiving cards

I finished more cards last night for Autumn and Thanksgiving. I really wanted to use Charlie Harvest Time from Clear Dollar Stamps so I called my good friend Stamp Katie and asked if Charlie could come visit! She is so nice she said yes, so I got to play with him!! LOL
The card with Charlie on it was fun to color, cut out and layer. I used some of the alcohol ink background paper and then used a piece of "stack" paper that has Indian corn on it which I tried to add some of the colors into the corn with Charlie.

On the other card, I used the corniucopia from Clear Dollar Stamps September 2008 stamp of the month. The sentiment and wheat are from Charlie Harvest Time also. I also used Glossy Accents on the fruit.

Clear Dollar Stamp Challenge

Clear Dollar Stamps has issued a new challenge on their blog, Clearly I Stamp and it was to use 5 of something to celebrate Clear Dollar Stamps 5th Birthday Celebration. I used the May 2009 Stamp of the month Walk in the Park for my card. I used some leftover Alcohol ink background papers I had and used a punch to cut out 5 leaves. I then stamped the tree right on more of the background paper and cut it out. I stamped the bench and the tire swing in black ink, the sentiment Fall in CTMH Olive ink, tied the ribbon and then mounted the paper on some "Stack" autumn papers that I had. I just love this little set. I made this card while I watched Keith and the girls rake the front yard!!

TADA

I have fallen in love with a set of papers and stamps made by TADA Creative Studios that I got from Limelight Papercrafts. I used the Ollie and Patches stamps with the matching *E-I-E-I-O papers to make these two cards. One is a circle ornament card that I entered into their October Challenge here. It is hard to see but the brown is all cut so that it sticks up away from the circle. The other is a card with sweet little Ollie. I fell in love with him when I first saw him!!
Their Festivus paper and stamps are also very yummy too!!

Thinking of You !!

A friend passed away last week and I have known him since I dated his stepson in high school. I was not able to attend the memorial but wanted to make sure that his wife knew I was thinking of her. I love the layout of this card and it just is wonderful with the set from There She Goes called Nature of Friendship. I used chocolate and sweet leaf papers, along with olive ink from Close To My Heart.

Happy Birthday Missy P!!

Missy P is one today and we will be celebrating with a big family party on Sunday!! Of course I had to use my Dress Up Sweet Pea stamp set by Pink Cat Studio's that I got from Mandy at Limelight Papercrafts. I love that you can dress up the baby in different outfits and when Missy P was born, her mama used bumblebees in her room. I believe when they get in their new house, she is going to have a surfing girl theme!! You can't see it, but the wings stick out and move and have glitter on them. The circle and scallop paper is from a Debbie Mumm set and the 1 stamps are from Close To My Heart. The brad are sugar coated and from Doodlebug Designs Ink.

So, Happy Birthday Missy P, Nee Nee loves ya lots!!

The ghost is from Studio G and the pumpkin is just one that I have had for a while. The papers are from DCWV stack and I love to use my nesties and layer the circles!!

Stamp Something Halloween

The challenge at Stamp SOmething this week was Halloween Somethings. I just got this awesome set from Limelight Papercrafts and I just love it. For the background, I used alcohol inks in the colors of cranberry, butterscotch, lettuce and eggplant and then the Alcohol Blending Solution to blend the colors together a little more. I then stamped the tree in India Ink. I layered on some dp that I just love for Halloween and then added the ribbon and sentiment, which is so true!! LOL

Disclaimer - my scanner stinks and my docking station for my camera is not working - um, more of where is the cord, girls????-

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge #42 10/23/09

This weekend's color challenge at Clear Dollar Stamps on Papercraft Challenge was to use chocolate brown, lime green and pink. Easy colors for me!! I grabbed a set of those colors and my Farm Critters set from Clear Dollar Stamps and inked up the piggy!! I broke open some ribbon I have had for a long time - just liked to look at it - but I finally took the plastic off and used it!!! LOL

When I was done, I showed my wonderful husband - his comment - "Swine Flu?" I told him I thought he should work night shift tonite since he was home all day!!!

Hope you like it,

Trust in Your Heart

I love this set called Treasures from Close to my Heart. And I just needed to use it more, so I pulled out a set of papers called Life Delights which I think is no longer available :( and decided to play last night. I used my cuttlebug with the swiss dots for the brown background piece but you can hardly see it. I used blush and lilac mist cardstock that matches the printed paper. Blush, sweet leaf and black inks. The ribbon is a wider brown with white dots that I love to use!!

Bling It Somethings - You are precious

This week at Stamp Something the challenge was Bling It Somethings. I have been making cards from a set from Close To My Heart that has some great layouts and really liked this one. I chose papers from the Close To my Heart set called Day Dream and their great pearls. The pearls are bigger than the ones I have that I bought from Michael's or JoAnns. The stamp set is called Priceless Love Word Puzzle and is also from CTMH. I added some Cotton Candy stickles around the edge of the sentiment and on different areas of the dp. The ribbon is some from Michael's. I also added a little shimmerz pink on the edges of the scallop!!
