Bradilicious Challenge on Clearly I Stamp

Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a great holiday. We are back to the regular schedule at our house now and I can finally make some cards that aren't Christmas. LOL Though I am challenging myself this year to make at least 4 Christmas cards a month so I am not slaving at the end of the year- So,

Bradilicious????? Hmm, I threatened to use Brad Pitt at first!! LOL But, Katie said I couldn't and that I had to use brads for the challenge at Clearly I Stamp blog for Clear Dollar Stamps! So, I used the new Charlie Sledding and added some Icicle Stickles to my "blue snow' and added some snowflake brads that I have had forever!

Blue Lights Christmas card

My sister wanted cards with blue Christmas lights to give to our friends who are police officers and fire fighters. So, late last Wednesday night, on our way home from a book reading (great book about her God Mothers' parents in 1890 - My Darling Anna) we got this idea. I called my friend Stamp Katie to see if she had a Christmas light or a string of lights stamps. She was sure she didn't, so when Julie and I got to my house, I dug out the tub of my holiday stamps. Well, lo and behold, I had a rubber backed stamp of Christmas lights - so here is one of the cards I made for her.

Stamp Something's Winter Wonderland Somethings

At Stamp Something's challenge blog, it was Winter Wonderland. I am loving this penguin stamp from the set Penguin Love from There She Goes. I paired him with the juggling snowballs and then used the Moonstruck and Crystal Blue papers from CTMH along with my Nestabilites. I then grabbed the stripe from the DCWV Holiday Christmas stack. I had these little snowflakes (by Favorite Findings- I think I got them at Joann's to use on my nephews' Christmas stockings) so I added them with some lightly wired white ribbon. I have 13 personal Christmas cards done so far (the 37 business ones are done and mailed) so I need to get busy getting more done and sending them out this week.

Glitzy Somethings

At Stamp Something's blog
the challenge was Glitzy Somethings. SO, I decided to use a stamp set from Close To My Heart called New Fallen Snow that I embossed in glitter ep and then used Moonstruck ink and sponged it on the snowflake. I cut it out and layered it. I used some rhinestones from my stash. I am sorry this is so quick but I got ran into by my kid on her Trials Bike Friday night and have a huge ly swollen knee - It was an accident and I just have to learn to leap out of the way quicker!!

Today's challenge at Clearly I Stamp was a theme of Winter. That was easy for me as I have been doing a few cards between the lawnmower cards. I love this little guy, he is so cute, just sliding down the hill!! He is from the set called Just Chillin' at Clear Dollar Stamps. I used some green and hollyhock paper from CTMH along with Hollyhock ricrak!

There She Goes TSG31 Color Challenge

This weeks challenge on the There She Goes blog was a color challenge. We were to use red, green and blue. I grabbed one of the newest sets from There She Goes, Penguin Love and inked up some stamps. I used olive, crystal blue and star spangled blue inks along with a sweet leaf marker to color my trees and igloo and penguin. I added some colors of papers to match and then found this little piece of ribbon to add to it. I used icicle stickles for the snow on the igloo.

Clearly Inspired Challenge CIC2

At Clearly I Stamp, Lori's blog for there was a sketch challenge. So, I got out my Cricut and cut the ovals - nope, I don't have the oval nesties yet and the way finances are it will be 2012 before I probably get them!!! LOL So, I stamped the little penguin from the Just Chillin' set and colored him in. I was really smart (just joking) and cut one smaller oval and then used it as a mask to use CTMH Moonstruck ink to sponge around him. I ran the moonstruck paper through the cuttlebug in the swiss dots folder and then added it and the Let It Snow paper to the card front. Then took the polka dot paper and some blue ribbon for the middle. I used some rhinestones to glisten it up a bit. I did not stamp the sentiment that was shown in the sketch as the Let It Snow paper worked for the sentiment.

I am still working on the business Christmas cards and need to go get green ribbon for them and I can start putting them together soon!! Have a great day.

Getting busy!!!

I have been busy with little kids and making the Christmas cards for the business. I am still cutting and trimming all those lawn mowers!! LOL But I did take time to use my new set from Clear Dollar Stamps called Birthday Celebration that Lori released for the 5th Birthday of Clear Dollar Stamps. I absolutely love the stamps that Lori has - great stamps and great prices and a great design team that comes up with great eye candy!!

Stamp Something Sketch Something Challenge 11/13/09

Stamp Something's challenge was Sketch Something. We had to use a sketch by Ann at Raindrop Echo Designs. This is my take on that sketch. I used a stamp from Stampin' Up from 2000 and Close to my Heart paper pack called Day Dream. The two flowers are Making Memories and were white, but I colored them with a Blush marker from CTMH and added 4 light pink dewdrops or skittles!!

This was a great sketch and I liked doing this card.

A little blue dandy

I made this card a few days back using a Close To My Heart set called Treasures. I used ink and paper colors in Lilac Mist and chocolate. The little buckle is from CTMH too. I just love the saying "The winds of change bring treasures unknown. . . embrace change. "
Hope everyone is having a great day.

There She Goes TSG28 challenge Fun with Chipboard

This week on There She Goes blog, the challenge was Fun with Chipboard, so I went into my drawer of goodies and found this piece of chipboard in a buckle shape. I embossed it with black embossing powder and luckily my friend Stamp Katie had some white ribbon to match for the front of my card. I used the Santa penguin from There She Goes' newly released set called Penguin Love. This is an awesome set, there are 55 different stamps in this set and I only used 6!!
I used CTMH cranberry, crystal blue and olive papers and inks along with my swiss dot folder with my cuttlebug.
Hope you enjoy it!

Toot toot and Charlie and lets mow some lawns!!!

Here is Charlie, again. I really like this set, Charlie Harvest Time, obviously!! LOL And then the second card is the Christmas Card for our customers - We have a small Lawn Care business and when Clear Dollar Stamps came out with their Yard Yabber set, I jumped for joy. I added the Holiday Wreath stamp and used a new set of Holiday paper from CTMH for this card. Luckily, I only have about 34 of these to make!!
Also, today I am honored and humbled to be Clear Dollar Stamps Featured Friend on their blog, Clearly I Stamp. So, if you haven't gone to Clear Dollar and checked them out, please do!! They are a great group, very talented and awesome stamps!!
