Ok, so it has been almost two weeks since I posted anything - the taxes and some grumpiness had me in their grasps, so I took some time off from the craft room, but today I went and played and I decided to do the Unity Inspired Challenge using the sketch and making it my own. I used one of my favorite Stamps of the week from Unity, Let's Ketchup and some papers from lilybeedesign Handmade and my Martha Stewart punch and some offray ribbon.
I like how this came out.
This is my place to share, to show and to shine!! I am blessed to be a mom to my girls, a wife to Keith and a sister, aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt!

Hip Hip Hooray!!
Over at Deconstructed Sketch the sketch this week was to use a tag. I have some tag cards so I used one of them. I used my Nestibilites circle and Heart circles and SU's Hearts A Flutter Framelit. The dp is from EK Success and Recollections. The stamp is from Unity Stamps and is Hooray Its Your Birthday.
I added some fancy gems in green colors.

Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps!
I am so excited today to show my card as I am the guest designer for Whimsy Inspires Blog. The challenge was Stitch It! Real or Faux Stitching. I was lucky to use the digital stamp Katie. I colored her with my Copics and paired her with some Recollections dp. I went to do my stitching and my sewing machine decided to not work right. It is a hand me down Brother and I love it but I think it needs to go get a check up. Since I am also in the middle of sewing a quilt, my sister brought me my mom's old Singer in the box, this is a small machine that only has straight stitch and you have to turn the wheel to get it started. I used this little sweet machine to do my stitching! I added some pearls to give her some bling.
Please go to the blog and check out the design teams cards and leave them some hugs.

Sweet Baby
This week at Stamping Challenges was a sketch that I really enjoyed doing. Since there are still 2 babies left to show up in April, I made this one to welcome one of them. I used papers by Recollections and DCWV Sweet stack. I used my Nestilbilities in squares, circles and tear drop circles. The hearts were cut out using the SU Hearts A Flutter Framelits and the stamp is the SU Itty Bitty Banners. I used an antique Mother of Pearl button with some Baker's Twine from Ribbon Carousel.

A little frame!
At Unscripted Sketches, this last sketch was #200!! So along with the sketch they had a piggyback challenge, to make something other than a card. I made an insert for a clear standup picture frame.
The designer papers are from Stampin' Up. There is a tad bit of reflection because the paper is slipped behind the plastic so it is held in there. The sentiment is from Unity Stamps. The picture below shows it from the side and shows how it stands up. I have a couple of these and I change them and put them in different places.
There's a new Challenge blog in town -Sister Act Card Challenge Blog
I found a new Card Challenge blog, it is called Sister Act Card Challenge and I would love to try out for their design team, so here are a few of my favorite cards I have made. The first one is using the Chalkboard technique. The second one is using the Digital stamp Cowboy McCoy from Lori Boyd Designs and the third one is using one of the SOTW from Unity Stamp.
Go and check out the new challenge blog too!!

Easter is coming. . . . . . .
Easter is coming, and at Delightful Inspirations from the Heart stamps this month's digital stamp was 3 sweet baskets, one for St. Patricks Day, one for spring and one for Easter. I chose the Spring one to use on my challenge card. I colored the digital image with my copics, than cut it out using my SU Labels Collection. I backed it with designer paper from Basic Grey's Sugared paper and added the last of my green ribbon that I love!
Courage for the Deconstructed Sketch #91
At the Deconstructed Sketch this week, I looked at it and went, nah, I can't do this one. But I did it! I used a stamp from Back in the Saddle by Waltzingmouse Stamps and some of my stash of horse/cowgirl/western paper. I scuffed up the edges a bit and then added some fancy brads that I have had for a long time and never even used. I think it turned out pretty neat.
My mojo has left me lately and I have had some disappointments in my little life, so I guess I just needed to make myself try and I did it and I love it!!!

No Bunny Like You. . . .
I finally made time to make a card for Stamping Challenges. This weeks was a sketch and I kind of played with it a little differently.
I went into the scrap paper file for some pink and chocolate. I stamped No Bunny from Unity Stamp Co.'s Stamp of the Week. I colored with pinks and browns and added Fun Flock in Cinnamon Toast. Added a pearl in the flower center.
( I am adding this to Unity Stamps Friends With Flair)

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 258
The challenge at Cute Card Thursday was Something Old!!!
"This week we want to see your cards using the theme above...that could be for example a card for an older person, a card with a traditional/old world image or a card using some supplies you have had for a while.."
so I pulled out one of my favorite 'old' stamps, called Friends from 2003 Design's Ink'd. I love these three older ladies! One day I hope I can have that much fun! lol I used K& Co. Life's Journey paper and Basic Gray's Marrakech papers along with Vintage Photo distress inks. I also used some of my mom's vintage Mother of Pearl buttons. (I learned that India Ink does not work with Copics but as fun as this stamp is I left it!! lol)

Designed to Color Birthday Bash!!!
Designed To Color's blog is celebrating their first birthday with some challenges. This one was a tic-tac-toe challenge. I choose purple, balloons and cake for my three. I searched for purple - not a staple in my paper - and I pulled out two sets of stamps from Close To My Heart with balloons and cake!! I used the balloon stamps to make the background paper and the cake for the main image. I colored the cake with my Letraset Markers and used framelits Label collection from SU to fussy cut the cake and then the background. I added three gems from Forever In Time because it looked too plain.
