Stamp Something Favorite Layout or Sketch Challenge

Stamp Somethings challenge this week was to use your favorite layout or sketch. This is one that I use alot, especially for a quick card. This one was fun as I stamped the main image in versamark and Twilight inks and embossed in clear. Added the stem, then used the same stamp in versamark and embossed them in clear. I used Twilight, Crystal blue, Buttercup, Sweet Leaf and a green I cant find right now to smudge on the embossed areas. The stamp is from Close To My Heart and called Treasures.

Two more cards!!

It is amazing, I think I am back in the swing of things. These cards are using the CTMH Flower Child set, there is a third one but everytime I scanned it, the image came up black and white. It is in browns and blues!!!! Weird! The background papers were ones in the paper shelf so I am not sure where I got them. I watercolored the images.

Finally used my Flower Child stamp set

I got this stamp set from CTMH a while back at a stamp club meeting and I actually hadn't used it yet. We aren't doing our stamp club anymore so I guess it is good I had it to use now - no withdrawals from not having new stamps!!! I used papers from the CTMH called More to Adore. I colored the images with my watercolor pencils.

Sea You Soon

Since I was making my whale card last week, I stamped a second one and decided to make another card. I used the You're so Punny set from There She Goes clear stamps. I got the background paper at JoAnn's - I thought it would be so perfect for raindrops or in this case, the water spout!!

Limelight Sketch 30 - Patterned Paper

Limelight Papercrafts sketch for last Thursday was kind of hard for me. I ended up using a new stamp the Catie got me on Orcas Island that is by Inkadinkado. The patterned paper is from Basic Grey's Sugared paper pack and so is the dark burgandy color. The skittles were ones that came clear but I colored them using Adirondack Alcohol Ink in Butterscotch.

Awww Nuts!!!!

On the There She Goes blog the challenge this week was to use dimensionals. So, you really can't tell in this (since I use a flatbed scanner as my camera is not working right) that the circles with the acorns are popped up. I used the squirrel, acorns and the sentiment from the You're So Punny set. I found the tree and other paper in my huge stack of paper that I think probably came from one of the Autumn or Winter stacks that I got at Joann's or Michael's. I punched a 4th acorn and background circle and they are on the inside of the card. I am mailing it today to one of our customers who is recovering from a stroke! I hope you like it.

Slow and Steady coming along

I was inspired to make a snail of different colors after finding the one on Orcas Island last weekend (to the right of the orange in the picture), so I picked this designer paper to use with my multi-colored snail. The snail is from There She Goes stamp set called Slow and Steady, which is obviously one of my favorites.

Stamp Something With your favorite Embellishment challenge

Stamp Something's challenge this week was Stamp Something with your favorite Embellishment. Lately, I love the rhinestones!! I love that they work perfectly with the dragonfly from the Bug Me Anytime set from There She Goes. I also used the small dragonfly from the Slow and Steady set. The rhinestones on the big dragonfly are by Martha Stewart and I found them on our trip last weekend on Orcas Island and had to have them, with this stamp in mind!! I am not sure where I got the tiny ones - probably at Michael's. Thanks to my good friend, online and in real life, Stamp Katie for reminding me to do this challenge.

Clear Dollar Stamps Color Challenge 9-11-09 CDSWCC36

Clear Dollar Stamps Paper Craft Challenge this week was to use red, black, white and yellow. Ok, I love this little cow from the Farm Critters Set. I also had these little flower doo dads by Sandy Lion Essentials that I picked up somewhere, so I added some red and yellow to them.

Another Thank you card

I got this set from Clear Dollar Stamps. It is called Yard Yabber. This works great for our lawn care business - especially for cards I need to send to our customers. I used a stamp from a florish set for the background on the blue.

TSG19 Sketch Challenge

ON There She Goes blog, Holly posted a sketch challenge. So, I have been trying all week to get it done. I have quite a time matching printed papers as I don't buy them as matching, I just buy what I like and I am not big on adding alot of bling and embellishments to my cards - this topic I have been discussing with my friend Stamp Katie quite a bit lately. I need to expand more, come out of my realm and use all the embellies I have laying around!! So, I grabbed two printed sheets and ran with my favorite greens!! Added some bling to it to. I love the Slow and Steady set.

Recipe:
Slow and Steady stamp set
CTMH olive and Sweet Leaf pens
DCWV Textured pink, GP c/s, unknown dp and green, rhinestones, nesties, cuttlebug.
