Making cards

I have been making cards this week and I think there are 20 all together, 8 went out as RAK's but this one is really a favorite. I stamped the Eagle (from Liberty Sheet at HeartsInTouch) on transparency with black staz-on ink and let it dry. I took a square piece of white paper and measured for a frame, cutting out the middle. I used Distress Embossing Ink and then used Distress Powder in fired brick. Heated with my heat tool and when cool rubbed off the release crystals. I then took another piece of white cardstock and using Tim Holtz's alcohol ink applicator, I applied Distress inks in faded jeans, scattered straw and fired brick in strategic areas left to right. I laid the eagle over that and then the frame on top of the eagle. I layered it on some paper that I had put fired brick and faded jeans inks on and sprayed them with water and let dry. I then attached all to the card. I love this. The frame has a very nice feel to it too.
