Cute Card Thursday challenge

I made this Halloween card using Lawn Fawn's Critters in Costumes.  The cat and bear were cut out and then I used glitter on the bears wings and put glossy accents at the top of the bee thingies (hehe)   I stamped the candy and colored them in, then popped the bear and cat up on pop dots.  I am adding this to Cute Card Thursday's Candyman challenge.

Small Stuff Christmas.

I love to use blues and silvers for my Christmas cards.  I don't usually use the traditional red and green and I am not sure why.  When I got this sweet SOTW Small stuff Christmas, I grabbed some blue papers, blue inks and silver spray and off I went. Of course the SOTW is from Unity Stamp Co. and I am entering it in this weeks Unity's Friends with Flair.

You say witch like it's a bad thing.

I love this stamp, You say witch like it's a bad thing, from Unity Stamp Co.  I used my copics to color the hat image and then a SU die to cut the bread tag, I added some fancy fuzzy ribbon around the tag, then pop dotted the hat on top.  I stamped the sentiment with a Kaleidacolor Royal Satin stamp pad.  I am going to enter it in the challenge at Ribbon Carousel that you can find here, Halloween Challenge.

A little Halloween with my new Lawn Fawn stamps and dies.

I have been having so much fun making Halloween cards.  I went to a demo using Lawn Fawn stamps and the dies that go with them.  Of course I left my lss with  Critters in Costumes stamp set and the matching dies.  I also got a few of their papers to use.  I made this card last night using the patterned paper from the Into the Wood collection, the bag and puppy are popped up on pop dots. I used my Chalk pen to add the sentiment and lines and dots.

And since I have found Lawn Fawn, I have found a challenge blog using them, Lawnscaping , so I am going to enter their challenge.

Thank you Deer!!!

I needed a manly thank you card and I used this stamp, What the Buck, stamped with brown ink and colored with my watercolor pencils.  I layered it onto some trees that I cut out with borrowed dies (Thanks Nana) and a swirly cuttlebug folder, I added some jute string too.  I am trying to get back into challenges so I am entering this in the challenge at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog.

Just getting a little older. . . . . . .

I love Unity Stamp Co. in case you haven't noticed!!  I got this set, Gossip, Hot-Flashes & Crazy.  I love the sayings that go with and the images.  I used the background color because I just liked it yesterday.  I didn't have any flowers to add to it, so I took all the pieces to my local stamp store and found this great colored flower.  I used my colored pencils and inks to make it look a little older and some lace from my moms stuff to add to it.

I am also going to link this to Unity's Friends with Flair!

So Thankful for you.

I have to say that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month but every day Cancer affects all of us in one way or another.  Both my parents died from cancer, my bestest friend, Katie Emerson Renz passed away almost two years ago from Gastrointestional cancer, my favorite aunt on my dad's side in January, a life time neighbor just two weeks ago and my favorite aunt on my mom's side is fighting cancer and slowly losing her battle, thankfully she is not in any pain.  I made this card to send to her because I am so thankful for her.

I used the new SU Thinlets Label Card die to make my card base, added some orange dotted paper to the left side of it.  I stamped some pumpkin images in versamark on the green, the pumpkin Blossoms were colored and cut out and the sentiment was cut out using SU Labels Collection dies and stamped and color added around the edge.

Unity Stamp Co. products used:  Pumpkin Blossoms Itty Bitty set,  Acorn Greetings Itty Bitty Set,                pumpkins.

SU products used: Cranberry Ink, Thinlets Label Card Die's, Labels Collection Die

Copic Markers, Black glaze pen

Where did summer go??

We have been so busy around here that the summer just went by fast and I let my blog sit still and rest!!  But I am back.  I have been having so much fun learning new things this summer.  I got to spend my Wednesday's at our local stamp store, Stampadoodle, going to their lunch time demo's with some awesome friends.  I also kept getting Unity Stamps stamp of the week which I love, love, love.

Last week Unity had some great stamps, so I ordered some :)  One I ordered was Sassy Boots with a Melody.  And this week, I actually made a card using them.  So here is my card for Unity's blog Friends With Flair Fridays.

Happy Birthday C4C186

I love this stamp  Candles and Cake from Unity Stamp Co.  I saw the sketch challenge at Crazy 4 Challenges.  I took the stamp and stamped it using the chalkboard technique and then added it to CTMH Sweet leaf and Tulip papers.  I stamped the little cupcake from Stampendous in tulip and sweet leaf ink and added it to the circle!!

2 Sisters 1-2-3 Challenge

Over at 2 Sisters Challenge Blog, the challenge was 1-2-3.  Use one of something, two of something and 3 of something.  So I stamped Shop, Lunch, Chat, Repeat image twice and cut out just the dress and popped it up on pop dots, so that was my two.  The SU natural hemp twine was my one and the three pearls, well, those were my 3.  The dp is from SU.  I think this card turned out cute and so it went to my niece for her birthday.

A little Happiness.

I was perusing some challenges and found a challenge at Sister Act Card Challenges that I could use a bunch of stamps on.   I used  Real Shared Happiness from the stamp of the week.  I stamped the butterfly and embossed with white ep on velum.  I then colored on the back and cut it out.  I stamped the sentiment on a nestibility circle and then used some CTMH Lilac Mist Ink to swipe around it.  I used my nestibility teardrop circle to cut out the green paper circle and MFT Fancy Flourish dienamics. The dp is Print Poetry from SU.  I used the small butterfly punch from SU for the green little butterfly.  It doesn't show that well, but I only glued the butterfly on the body and the wings are popped up.

A long time posting, but I made a card!!

It has been a long time since I have posted, life and work has sure gotten in the way lately.  Owning our own lawn care business has taken up alot of my time since I am the one running the crew and doing all the scheduling and paperwork, plus I am still watching my nephew who will be two soon and he and I spend lots of time hanging out!!

I painted my living room so everything came out of it and alot still hasn't gotten back in it.  There is hardly anything hanging on the walls yet, just have not decided where I really want stuff to go.  I got a new sideboard for under the tv so all the DVD's and CD's and Video games can be hidden.  I got an awesome new desk for my computer and the business so it is all in one place and not on the kitchen table.  The kitchen table got moved out and Keith found a tall square one with four stools.  It takes up so less room.

So the other day, I went into my craft room, I needed to stamp and I made this card using the set Let Love Fly from Unity Stamp Co.

Let's Ketchup Soon. . . .

Ok, so it has been almost two weeks since I posted anything - the taxes and some grumpiness had me in their grasps, so I took some time off from the craft room, but today I went and played and I decided to do the Unity Inspired Challenge using the sketch and making it my own.  I used one of my favorite Stamps of the week from Unity, Let's Ketchup and some papers from lilybeedesign Handmade and my Martha Stewart punch and some offray ribbon.

I like how this came out.

Hip Hip Hooray!!

Over at Deconstructed Sketch the sketch this week was to use a tag.  I have some tag cards so I used one of them.  I used my Nestibilites circle and Heart circles and SU's Hearts A Flutter Framelit.  The dp is from EK Success and Recollections.  The stamp is from Unity Stamps and is Hooray Its Your Birthday.
I added some fancy gems in green colors.

(I am adding this to this weeks Friends With Flair at Unity Stamps)

Guest Designer for Whimsy Stamps!

I am so excited today to show my card as I am the guest designer for Whimsy Inspires Blog.  The challenge was Stitch It!  Real or Faux Stitching.  I was lucky to use the digital stamp Katie.  I colored her with my Copics and paired her with some Recollections dp.  I went to do my stitching and my sewing machine decided to not work right.  It is a hand me down Brother and I love it but I think it needs to go get a check up.  Since I am also in the middle of sewing a quilt, my sister brought me my mom's old Singer in the box, this is a small machine that only has straight stitch and you have to turn the wheel to get it started.  I used this little sweet machine to do my stitching!  I added some pearls to give her some bling.

Please go to the blog and check out the design teams cards and leave them some hugs.

Sweet Baby

This week at Stamping Challenges was a sketch that I really enjoyed doing.  Since there are still 2 babies left to show up in April, I made this one to welcome one of them.    I used papers by Recollections and DCWV Sweet stack.  I used my Nestilbilities in squares, circles and tear drop circles.   The hearts were cut out using the SU Hearts A Flutter Framelits and the stamp is the SU Itty Bitty Banners.  I used an antique Mother of Pearl button with some Baker's Twine from Ribbon Carousel.

A little frame!

At Unscripted Sketches, this last sketch was #200!!  So along with the sketch they had a piggyback challenge, to make something other than a card.  I made an insert for a clear standup picture frame.

The designer papers are from Stampin' Up.  There is a tad bit of reflection because the paper is slipped behind the plastic so it is held in there.  The sentiment is from Unity Stamps.  The picture below shows it from the side and shows how it stands up.  I have a couple of these and I change them and put them in different places.

There's a new Challenge blog in town -Sister Act Card Challenge Blog

I found a new Card Challenge blog, it is called Sister Act Card Challenge and I would love to try out for their design team, so here are a few of my favorite cards I have made.  The first one is using the Chalkboard technique.  The second one is using the Digital stamp Cowboy McCoy from Lori Boyd Designs and the third one is using one of the SOTW from Unity Stamp.

Go and check out the new challenge blog too!!

Easter is coming. . . . . . .

Easter is coming, and at Delightful Inspirations from the Heart stamps this month's digital stamp was 3 sweet baskets, one for St. Patricks Day, one for spring and one for Easter.  I chose the Spring one to use on my challenge card.  I colored the digital image with my copics, than cut it out using my SU Labels Collection.  I backed it with designer paper from Basic Grey's Sugared paper and added the last of my green ribbon that I love!
