Happy Birthday Missy P!!

Missy P is one today and we will be celebrating with a big family party on Sunday!! Of course I had to use my Dress Up Sweet Pea stamp set by Pink Cat Studio's that I got from Mandy at Limelight Papercrafts. I love that you can dress up the baby in different outfits and when Missy P was born, her mama used bumblebees in her room. I believe when they get in their new house, she is going to have a surfing girl theme!! You can't see it, but the wings stick out and move and have glitter on them. The circle and scallop paper is from a Debbie Mumm set and the 1 stamps are from Close To My Heart. The brad are sugar coated and from Doodlebug Designs Ink.

So, Happy Birthday Missy P, Nee Nee loves ya lots!!

Halloween is coming!!!!

I got the Halloween cards out for the little ones yesterday. These are two of them. I don't have alot of fun kid type Halloween stamps, so I have to use the few I have. The ghost is from Studio G and the pumpkin is just one that I have had for a while. The papers are from DCWV stack and I love to use my nesties and layer the circles!!

Stamp Something Halloween

The challenge at Stamp SOmething this week was Halloween Somethings. I just got this awesome set from Limelight Papercrafts and I just love it. For the background, I used alcohol inks in the colors of cranberry, butterscotch, lettuce and eggplant and then the Alcohol Blending Solution to blend the colors together a little more. I then stamped the tree in India Ink. I layered on some dp that I just love for Halloween and then added the ribbon and sentiment, which is so true!! LOL

Disclaimer - my scanner stinks and my docking station for my camera is not working - um, more of where is the cord, girls????-

Clear Dollar Stamps Weekend Color Challenge #42 10/23/09

This weekend's color challenge at Clear Dollar Stamps on Papercraft Challenge was to use chocolate brown, lime green and pink. Easy colors for me!! I grabbed a set of those colors and my Farm Critters set from Clear Dollar Stamps and inked up the piggy!! I broke open some ribbon I have had for a long time - just liked to look at it - but I finally took the plastic off and used it!!! LOL

When I was done, I showed my wonderful husband - his comment - "Swine Flu?" I told him I thought he should work night shift tonite since he was home all day!!!

Hope you like it,

Trust in Your Heart

I love this set called Treasures from Close to my Heart. And I just needed to use it more, so I pulled out a set of papers called Life Delights which I think is no longer available :( and decided to play last night. I used my cuttlebug with the swiss dots for the brown background piece but you can hardly see it. I used blush and lilac mist cardstock that matches the printed paper. Blush, sweet leaf and black inks. The ribbon is a wider brown with white dots that I love to use!!

Bling It Somethings - You are precious

This week at Stamp Something the challenge was Bling It Somethings. I have been making cards from a set from Close To My Heart that has some great layouts and really liked this one. I chose papers from the Close To my Heart set called Day Dream and their great pearls. The pearls are bigger than the ones I have that I bought from Michael's or JoAnns. The stamp set is called Priceless Love Word Puzzle and is also from CTMH. I added some Cotton Candy stickles around the edge of the sentiment and on different areas of the dp. The ribbon is some from Michael's. I also added a little shimmerz pink on the edges of the scallop!!

A little girls' inspiration!!

Yesterday I had Missy P and she came dressed in the cutest outfit. It was plain brown pants and a blueish top that had a couple hearts on it. It was so cute on her!! So, I found a blue that matched and made a card from her!! I used my Lockhart Stamp and then chocolate, tulip and twilight papers from Close To My Heart. I actually plugged in my Cricut and cut the hearts out.

P.S. I am going to upload this to the Stamp Something challenge for a second card!!

TSG24- A Sketch from There She Goes

This week, on the There She Goes blog, Jodi gave us a sketch. So, I took it and flew with it. I love this paper set, called Perfect Day from Close To My Heart. This card is a really busy card for me, usually mine are pretty tame! I love how it turned out. I used the stamp set called Nature of Friendship from There She Goes. It is one of my favorite sets.

I am back babysitting today after about two weeks without my little ones. I just have the baby girl, who will be one at the end of the month. She was so huggy before her morning nap, I hope she keeps it up. I am off to see a Pulmonologist this afternoon to find out where my cough is coming from. I know what is making it worse, but I am having a hard time quitting smoking!!! I am hoping I can get this taken care of soon so that I can get the tubes put in my ears so I can hear again. Being partially deaf has been really hard on my whole family and has been so easy for me to just shut myself up in my room!! I have moved my stamping area into the living room where it is warm and that is so nice, since my craft room is at the back of the house and the heat from the fireplace doesn't get back there!! Have a great day.

Brown plus something - Stamp Something Challenge

There She Goes Monochromatic Mania

This weeks challenge at There She Goes blog was a monochromatic challenge. I am not good with that kind of stuff, but decided to try it. This is my take, pretty nice card, but pretty shameful on the monochromatic side. Does it count that I have been sick for two weeks and can not hear and can't have the ear surgery until the cough is gone!!! Errrrr. I used my favorite set, Bug Me Anytime and used the dragonfly!! I used a cuttle bug folder called Floral Fantasy. Added lots of bling to it too.

While the electricity was out. . . .

I received my winning stamp set called Hauntingly Sweet from Mandy at
Limelight PaperCrafts earlier in the week. I had planned to do something more exciting, but since the power went out for more than five hours on Sat. night, when I had my time planned to create, I went ahead and made these two cards by candlelight!!
