Another Moxie Fab Challenge Card
At Moxie Fab World, another challenge was to use a homemade stamp, so I searched and found a lego hanging out in my craft room and I used it to stamp circles around a sentiment from Stampin; Up (2000). I used CTMH Felicity Collection for the papers, Old Olive for the ink, Offray ribbon and a heart button.
Moxie Fab World - Make your own background.
Moxie Fab World had another challenge for 75 Creative Card Challenges, this time it was to make your own background paper. So I looked around to what I could use and I found a wooden thread spool that I had just emptied of thread. I stamped the end of the spool in CTMH Dutch Blue onto white paper. Then added three Recollection star brads to it, an American Art Stamp -Fireworks and some star ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.Saturday, January 12, 2013
Winter Spirit at Ribbon Carousel
At the Ribbon Carousel Blog the Challenge was Winter Spirit. I have this sweet stamp, Christmas Pony from Whimsy Stamps that I didn't get to use before Christmas, so I colored her in with my Copics, used paper from My Mind's Eye Festive Frost for the background and the snowflakes (both punches are Martha Stewart snowflakes), added a fancy button from Stampin' Up, the hat and her coat are embellished with Flowersoft White and the beautiful ribbon is, of course, from my favorite ribbon store, Ribbon Carousel.
Make a Window Card at Moxie Fab
At Moxie Fab World this week it is 75 Creative Card Challenges Week and this one was to make a Window Card. I used my Cuttlebug frame to make my window, I cut out the center and added some clear plastic. I stamped Unity Stamp Co.'s new release Beauty Around You and colored it with my copics and added it to the back of the frame. I then added all of it to a Center Step card that I had made. I added a couple charms to the window using Chocolate Bakers Twine from Ribbon Carousel and added some paper from Basic Grey's Sophie Collection Variegated stripes. I stamped the sentiment and added it to the inside of the card.

Some January Blues. . . . .
I decided to jump in and join Cupcake Craft Challenges and their challenge this week was January Blues. So, I used a Martha Stewart Bird stamp, and colored it so it looked like a Steller Jay that we have in the yard. I used handmade paper from Provo Craft Paper Paette in Blues and Purples, used some light blue to cut out the Die-namics Fancy Flourish from My Favorite Things and then some Martha Stewart gems!!Wednesday, January 9, 2013

A card for Unscripted Sketch # 192
The sketch at Unscripted Sketches was a great sketch. I used a sentiment stamp from Hero Arts that I have had forever and the LaRue Flourish die from Memory Box. The designer paper is from Stampin' Up's Festival of Prints. I love the colors of this paper.
Sadness!!

| Auntie Sis and Me!! |
This week did not start off on a good note, my favorite Aunt in the whole world passed away during the night Sunday. She lived in Montana, which is a few hours away from me in Washington and I hadn't seen her in a year and a half. Her name is Vivian Cecelia Russell Honrud, my Auntie Sis. She was born in Custer, WA in 1932 and was the youngest and only girl with 5 older brothers, one being my Daddy. She married my Uncle Fred (LeRoy) and moved to Loma, Montana to be a wheat farmers wife. She had 6 kids, my cousins Don, Rick, LeAnn, Nanci Jo, Les and Russ. A few years ago, my cousin LeAnn lost her battle with cancer and passed away! My Dad loved his baby sister and missed her every day, when they would talk on the phone or get together, the love and laughter just flowed so openly between the two. When Keith and I found out that we were having twin girls, we named Cecelia after her. My aunt was here right before my dad passed away, we knew the day she left that he didn't have much time, he told her not to turn around, that it was ok and he passed away the next morning. I know in my heart that my Daddy was waiting for her and they are together, telling jokes and fishing with my Grandma. Friday, January 4, 2013
Another card?? Yep and with my SOTW from Unity Stamps
I stamped him/her and colored in with my few copics and then found some scraps of CTMH papers and CTMH blush ribbon, that were happy colors. I used Flower Soft white for the pompoms on her hat and icicle stickles for the snow on the branch. I love how it turned out!!

First Card of 2013 - Unscripted Sketches # 191
I finally got to make a card for a challenge. At Unscripted Sketches this week was a cute sketch. I used a Sarah Kay stamp that I borrowed from my sister-in-law and used my copics and some of the Letraset Promarkers Christmas Contemporary set that I won from my friend across the pond, Jak Heath.
I used some small baby buttons and some scrap papers that I had.

Happy New Year!!
So I am a few days late wishing you a Happy New Year. I have been busy rearranging my craft room. A few months ago, I moved my mom's sewing cabinet out into the dining room and put my machine on it and have been sewing up a storm, but by moving it, it left a good size space that filled up quickly in the craft room!! I used an old dining table to do my crafts on and used lots of rolling carts (3) and 3 drawer plastic totes and boxes to hold all my stuff. I even had an old broken square laundry basket full of stuff! You can see how it was in this picture.
And yes, there is a saddle holder in the bottom right, kid left it in there for a few weeks!! This used to be a second bedroom, but my brother-in-law put a hallway in to the back door and the old carport bedroom is through this room, so it really isn't big enough to use as an actual bedroom and I have used it for a craft room since we bought the house from him in 2001. I have always wanted to have cabinets so I can hide stuff and get more organized, so Mr. Wonderful got me my cabinets last weekend, we chose the unstained and unpainted ones and stained them ourselves. I got the cheapest countertop since I am sure it will be stained with ink and stuff soon!! I have spent three days going through stuff and I have two rolling carts now - one is all the scrapbooking for the Disneyland Albums and fastpitch that all need to be finished and the other one is different stuff, like one drawer is all my Tim Holtz stuff, one is my melting pot and UTEE, one is all my glitter and stuff like that!! So here is what it looks like now, still need to figure out where everything goes but I have been working in it tonight on a scrapbook and a card!!
The long white shelf I got at a second hand shop and it is like new. My papers fit in perfectly and I have my bling in one drawer and flowers and pretties in another so they are handy. My few Copics fit in it too and I can see them all. The big ribbon shelf in the first 'new room' picture is really special to me. It was my bestie Katie Renz's! A guy who worked with Kevin made it just for her ribbons and when Kevin re-did Katie's craft space, he gave it to me! I finally have it on the wall and full!! It makes me smile!!! So thanks for letting me share my new space. I am so happy with it!!!

Christmas is coming, faster and faster!!!
In between making the cards and addressing all of them and signing them all personally by hand, I have been taking time to sew for Christmas.
There are 4 pillowcases done for 4 little ones, with at least 4 more to make this week.
I also went to the Ladies Quilt group at my sisters the other night and they made these fabric napkins, I was working on those Christmas cards, so I made two today for a gift.

Stamping, Watercoloring, swishin' and glueing!!
I am working on 70 cards. I am using a stamp that I got from I (heart) Papers that is by Stampendous and is called Snowy Postcard. I stamped them and then used my watercolor pencils to give them some color and blended with my waterbrush. I roughed up the edges and am swishin' them with Tim Holtz Distressed Ink, Tea Dye. Once I finish all that, I can mount them on the blue background and then onto the card base!!!

Sewing for a new baby boy
Well, last night we found out that my great-niece and her husband are having a baby boy in April!! I am so excited as this niece was our flower girl in our wedding almost 20 years ago and she has a special place in my heart. My girls say I like her best!!! LOL
They had a gender reveal party and out of the box came blue balloons, so Arason will be here in April!!! I made a bib and spit rag out of a fat quarter of International Harvester Farmall fabric so that even if it was a girl, either way, daddy could feel 'manly' while feeding baby!! Now I am off to make more pillowcases!!!!

Haven't posted due to Christmas is coming!!!
Alot of the things I have been working on lately is for Christmas so I have had nothing to post, well, lots to post, but I don't want my family to see them until they get them for Christmas.
On thing I do every year for my nephew Jason and his wife Kristy is add something to their boys' stockings. My mom made Landon's stocking back in 2004 to match his mommy and daddy's, so my sister Julie has helped make the stockings and then I have done all the handwork and Snowmen on them. This year was fun to do, the family got their first travel trailer this summer and had a few adventures, so I made a travel trailer our of felt and blanket stitched it on. I even used my Nestabilities to make the circles for the wheels!!
I plan on uploading more as they get given out so I hope you will come back by soon.

Ornaments!
I saw these ornament stamps and dies online and I just had to have them to make these! They are from Stampin' Up and today my sister, sister-in-law and niece made these. You need 20 of each of the 2 stamp images stamped and cut out, so that took me alot of time to do. I got enough cut out sitting watching tv in three evenings to make 6 ornaments!! The red one I made tonight. I have learned that I should not use a hot glue gun - three burn blisters on three different fingers!!!

What I have been doing lately.
I haven't had much time to make cards, I have a list to do, but just haven't gotten in there, maybe tomorrow!!
I do have this one that I did for a challenge and didn't get it done in time
I used the Silhouette stamp from Childhood Portrait by CTMH. DCWV papers, My Favorite Things Die-namics Vintage Florish that I cut in half, Offray ribbon and half pearls.
I have also been working on a small quilt challenge. A local quilt shop, Two Thimbles had a Civil War Sampler Challenge and my sister Julie and my sister-in-law Darlene and I started it a month late, but have caught up. You have a month to do 4 blocks and then you go back in and get your fabric pieces for the next four blocks.
It ends in January and then you have time to finish the quilt and then you drop it off by March 15th and March 20th they will be displayed during the Tri-County Quilt Tour through April.
So here is my 12 blocks - the lighting for the picture is not too good, I was standing on a chair and they were laid out on the ironing board!!

Wishing for snow!! (CCT242)
At Cute Card Thursday their challenge was a sketch, so this is my take on the sketch.
My digital image is Bundled Little Snowboy from Meljen Designs. I colored him with my few copics and set him on papers from Whimsy Stamps called Merry and Bright. I used two different snow flake punches and covered them with Icicle stickles and added them to the snowboy!!
He is so cute!!

Twinkle Little Star! (CFC10)
At Crafty Friends Challenges the challenge was to use a sentiment as a focal point. One of my favorite sentiments I have loved for a long time is a stamp from the Merry Stamper that just says Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
I took this stamp and added it to papers from My Minds Eye Festive and Frost Signature Christmas that I just love because the glitteryness of it, the ribbon just kind of worked for me in there and I have no idea where I got it.

Designed 2 Delight Catching Flakes Digital Stamp Challenge
This month's image at Designed 2 Delight's blog is the sweetest snowman catching snowflakes. I used my copics and white flowersoft and Icicle stickles on the sweet snowman and flakes. I then layered him with pattern papers from Whimsy Stamps called Merry and Bright. Then I used a beautiful piece of red ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.
