Unity { be inspired} Challenge

At Unity Stamp Challenge blog,  they had a sketch, layout or colors to use.  I chose to do the sketch.  I used Beauty Around You by Phyllis Harris from  Unity Stamp Co.  The dp is some papers from my stash and cheap pearl and the doily is from Stampin' Up.  I love the little kids in this stamp, it just makes me giggle.

Let's Ketchup!!!!

At Cute Card Thursday the challenge was to simplify, clean and simple cards.  I used Let's Ketchup, a SOTW from Unity Stamp Co.  I colored it in with my copics.  Used the SU Borders Scoring plate and added some red ribbon.

Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #203

What a crazy week it has been.  I have been working on the business side of my life and am still not ready for the tax man!!  But I have been sneaking into the craft room to get a few things done.  I decided to play along with Stamptacular Sunday Challenge and the challenge was TWO's Company.  Two stamps, two colors and two embellishments.  I really wanted to use a new stamp I won from Alota Rubber Stamps so I added two chickens from Clear Dollar Stamps Farm Critters stamps.  My colors are brown and red.  The embellishments are a funky vintage button that I thought could pass for eggs and a red paperclip.  I used CTMH Chocolate ink, Core-dinations Chocolate box paper with the Distressed Stripes cuttlebug folder and sanded the chocolate until the red showed through better.  The chickens were colored with copics and CTMH pens.

Deconstructed Sketch # 89

This week's Deconstructed Sketch #89, was a neat sketch.  I used my Unity SOTW Bundle of Care and colored with my copics and then dotted around the flowers.  I used two Martha Stewart punches and some paper from Chatter Box Scrapbook walls- Large Rec. Flowers and some Offray ribbon and cheap pearls.

Valentine's for my boys!!

At the  Crazy 4 Challenge blog, this weeks challenge was to make cards with hearts, but no red or pink!  Well, that was easy for me.  I used Unity Stamp Co. Stamp of the Week called Smiley Hearts.  I used some paper from my scrap stash, some unknown brads and some fibers to make cards for Landon and Trip, who are 8 and 5 and think girls have cooties -(that's ok, I tell them girls have cooties!!lol) The inside is stamped with the sentiment that goes with the stamp, You make my heart happy!

(I am also adding the green and blue one to Unity Stamps Friends with Flair this week)

From the Heart Sketch #4

Obviously I love to do the challenges and sketches that are out there in blog land.  At From the Heart Stamps their sketch #4 was a great one to do.  I used one of the the digital stamps from Laughing Giraffes.  I colored the giraffe with my copics and did the stippling technique around it.   I embossed the light yellow using the flower border from Provo Crafts Just My Type embossing border and layered it on the brown and blue papers.  I used some handmade paper behind the image and added a paper flower from American Crafts.  The other papers are from Recollections Fashionably Chic and Making Memories Cosmopolitan Collection.

Today is Wave All Your Fingers at Your Neighbor Day!!

At Crazy for Challenges blog their challenge since today is Wave all your Fingers at your Neighbor Day, was to do a card that would bring smiles and happiness to the recepient, so I used Hugs and Kisses from Saturated Canary.  I colored her in with my copics.  I used Echo Park Be Mine paper for the background, cut a LaRue Florish by Memory box out of the lime green Core-dinations paper, than in half and some ribbon from American Crafts then added the image on top.  I then got 3 buttons from my old buttons and added them.

Deconstructed Sketch 87

Deconstructed Sketch had a challenging sketch this week, I do not have any die's that cut ribbon edges, so measuring and cutting with scissors, aka old school, was the challenge for me.  But I did it.  I used Recollections Fashionably Chic papers, some black fibers and the sentiment is from Moment by Moment from Unity Stamp Co.  I really like how this turned out!!

Stamping Challenges #5

Over at Stamping Challenges they had a sketch to follow this week.  I kind of switched mine to the top right, using my Bottle Cap Expressions by Inkadinkado and my nestibility circles and squares.  I used Tulip Ink and papers from CTMH's Perfect Day paper pack and some green ribbon to finish it!!

Feeling Coopy?

Here is a card I made for the Cute Card Thursday challenge that was called A different corner.  You had to do something different with one or more corners of your card.  I rounded the one corner of my background paper and used a EK Success punch at the bottom.   I also used some Core-dinations Chocolate Box paper, which the top is brown, but the inside is different colors, so I chose a red.  I ran it through the Distressed Stripes embossing folder and then sanded it lightly to let more red show through.  I stamped Cooped Up Notes by Christy Tomlinson for Unity Stamp Co. and went over it with Distress Inks Tea Dye and then wrapped some string around it.  I stamped Farn Critters from Clear Dollars stamps and the sentiment and colored the chicken in with my copics.  I love this little chicken, it so reminds me of my Ginger!!!

Just a few cards I have done.

Here are some other cards I have done lately.  The bee card shows dotting around the bee.
This card shows a Unity set which fits perfect in our house.

This is the cupcake lineup from From the Heart Stamps done another way.

From the Heart January Stamp Challenge

At From the Heart January Stamp Challenge the digital stamp is called Cupcake Lineup.  I used my copics to color in the cupcakes and added some "silver balls" aka Stickles and glitter to the tops.  I added some bling and some ribbons to some scrap paper to make my card.

Dandelion's!!

So, I guess Spring is coming early this year, but since we haven't had Winter here, I am not holding my breath, March could still come in like a lion.  At Whimsy Inspires blog the challenge this week was to have Fancy Edges on your card.  I used Dandelion Girl for my image.  I added some white flower soft to the dandelion seeds that she is blowing (one of my favorite things to do) I used my nestiblites to cut her out and then a Martha Stewart punch for the edge.  I added some bling and then this sweet white ribbon from Ribbon Carousel.  I colored her in with my copics.

A little spring, please!

I think I am wishing for spring, even though winter was about 15 minutes long out here.  We had a week in the 30's, but no snow to count and no Northeaster blowing down from Canada.  Something is really wrong with this picture!!  For the sketch challenge at Unscripted Sketches, I used some papers from my stash and CTMH along with some Provo Craft Prudy's Patchwork Quilt papers.  I stamped Andi Girl, a new stamp called Angie Girls by Angie Blom.   I colored with my copics, adding Cinnamon Toast fun flock to her boots!!   I used some seam binding from Ribbon Carousel and a little birdie dimensional sticker (by American Crafts)  from Pinky.
